Caregiver Support Services: Wrapping Care Around Those Who Give It Most
At Alora, we wrap care around caregivers so families can keep thriving at home.

Who cares for the caregiver?
It’s a question families often ask quietly, after months or years of showing up every single day for a loved one with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Parents, spouses, siblings, and relatives do extraordinary work—often without rest, recognition, or resources.
At Alora, we believe those who give so much deserve support too. That’s why caregiver support is at the heart of what we do.
Recognizing Extraordinary Care
In Utah, we serve as administrators of the Caregiver Compensation model, which allows parents, spouses, and relatives to be compensated for the extraordinary care they provide through Medicaid. It is more than a paycheck. It is recognition that the daily, unseen work of caregiving matters—and that it deserves stability.
But compensation is just the start. Caregivers also need community, tools, and encouragement to continue providing care without burning out. That’s where Alora steps in. We make sure the back-end is handled—the documentation, compliance, and coordination—so caregivers can focus on the people in front of them.
Supported Living: Help at Home
Caregiver support isn’t one-size-fits-all. Sometimes a family’s natural supports are strong but stretched thin. Sometimes more help is needed. That’s why we’re introducing Supported Living Supports in Utah.
This service is designed for individuals who want to continue living at home. We wrap support around them and their caregivers—whether by strengthening what’s already in place or supplementing with additional help. It might mean bringing in someone to share daily routines, or providing resources that make independent living safer and more sustainable.
The goal is simple: keep people at home, surrounded by the people and spaces that matter most.
Building a Circle of Belonging
When caregivers are supported, everyone thrives. Families can breathe easier. Loved ones with intellectual or developmental disabilities can continue to grow in environments that feel familiar and safe. Communities benefit from the stability and strength that shared living and supported living create.
We see it every day: the mother who can keep caring without losing herself. The sibling who feels proud, not overwhelmed. The individual who remains in the home they love because their circle of support has widened.
This is what belonging can look like
Caregiver support is not just about services. It’s about dignity—for the individual, for the family, and for the caregivers whose love fuels everything.
At Alora, we’re honored to carry some of the weight so that families can carry on with what they do best: loving, supporting, and sharing life.
Come on in.
