Next Stop: Utah!
Alora is coming to Utah—with two models that help care feel like home.

What if support didn’t mean leaving home?
What if care looked more like community—and less like a system?
That’s the heart behind Alora Supports, and it’s why we’re thrilled to say: We’re coming to Utah.
Whether you’re a family exploring options for a loved one with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or someone who feels called to open their home as a host, we’re building something in Utah that we believe in deeply—because we’ve seen it work.
And we’re bringing two models with us that redefine what “support” can look like.
First Up: Shared Living — Where Support Feels Like Belonging
In our shared living model, individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities live in the home of a carefully matched host. It might be a quiet two-bedroom outside Provo. A backyard garden in Ogden. A warm kitchen table in Salt Lake City. What matters most is the relationship.
Hosts aren’t shift workers. They’re people who choose to open their home—and their daily lives—to someone else. And when the fit is right, something beautiful happens. Routine becomes rhythm. Support becomes friendship.
We’ve seen it again and again in other states:
A man who used to dread Mondays now wakes up early to walk dogs with his host.
A woman who never celebrated her birthday now has her favorite cake waiting every June.
People who were once “placements” become housemates, neighbors, friends.
Shared living in Utah is evolving—and we see its future in deeper connections built on trust, not turnover. In relationships that go beyond routine and into real belonging.
Next: Caregiver Support — Because Family is Already Doing the Work
Here’s the truth: in many families, someone’s already showing up every day.
Maybe it’s a parent managing complex medical routines. A grandparent adjusting their schedule. A sibling making sure appointments aren’t missed.
In Utah, families can now be paid for that extraordinary care through what’s called the Caregiver Support Model.
That means:
If you’re a parent, step-parent, legal guardian, spouse, or family member providing care at home—you may be eligible to be paid for it.
Alora Supports will serve as your administrative partner. We handle the back-end logistics (payroll, documentation, compliance), so you can focus on what matters most: being present with the person you love.
We don’t just cut checks—we offer real support. Think coaching, connection, and resources that wrap around your family and grow with your needs.
This model doesn’t replace natural love. It recognizes it. And it allows families to continue caring without burning out or going it alone.
Why Utah, Why Now?
Because the need is real—and the opportunity is here.
We’ve talked to families across Utah who are exhausted by red tape, worn down by waitlists, and still holding out hope that something better exists. We’ve heard from people who want to be hosts but didn’t know where to start. From caregivers doing heroic work, unpaid and unseen.
And we want to say: We see you.
We’re here not to take over, but to walk alongside. To build systems that serve people, not the other way around. To create homes where support is felt, not just scheduled.
This is what belonging can look like.
Utah, we’re ready. Ready to listen, ready to learn, and ready to build something together—one host home, one supported family, one real relationship at a time.
Come on in.
