Shared living creates real family connections. Unlike traditional group homes with rotating staff, our model pairs individuals with dedicated host families who provide consistent, personalized support in a true home environment.
Why Shared Living Works in Dodge County
Many adults with IDD in shared living arrangements report high levels of life satisfaction, often describing the sense of stability and belonging that comes from consistent relationships. Knowing who will be there when you wake up—and being part of a family's daily routine, not just a service schedule—matters.
As Nebraska's third-largest city, Fremont offers resources that smaller towns can't match—medical specialists, therapy services, the largest YMCA in the United States, employment opportunities, and recreational options. Shared living homes in Fremont and surrounding areas give adults with IDD access to both city resources and genuine community connection.
